The project cares about medical workers in the new world of health, by reconnecting hospitals to patients with empathy and care. My purpose is to serve people to live healthier lives and build friendly relationships among patients and doctors.
Based on test feedback from patients, interns, and attending physicians (five in each group), 80% of users are able to complete tasks independently without intervention and 93% of users are able to complete tasks with simple instructions.
Have you ever went to the doctor's office and found all the doctors are extremely busy but some interns were totally inactive and played their phones. Or have you ever asked an intern something about your health but is out of his knowledge and his answer even get you more confused.
Well, this kind of thing just happened in hospitals every day. So I tried to find the core reason for these uncomfortable moments. I want to know why these interns lost motivation. I compared how to become a doctor in China to the US. And I found that Chinese students spent less year to become a doctor, and during their study, they don’t have enough social practice or experience.
And another reason is the hospital doesn’t have a clear division of what these students should do every day. I research the composition of a medical team. Although the whole team is responsible for the patients, no one tells the interns exactly what they need to accomplish everyday. They look aimless and they lose motivation & initiative.
to motivate medical students and let them know what they can do and should do. If they can be more active and build a good relationship with. patients, patients would no longer habitually only ask their attending doctors questions.
For further goals, it can reduce the attending doctors' pressure and build trust between doctors and patients.
Create a plaining System that aims to define the division of work between the attending physician and the interns.
And a website to help patients find an intern if the attending doctors are busy.
Based on feedback I refined the existing design. I merged the question filling page of the patient port to shorten the process for the patient to fill in the question.
After the patient makes an appointment successfully, a progress display component is added to appease the patient's waiting psychology.
